Maryland Thermoform announced today the addition of a new Fabrication Division to their corporate structure and capabilities.
Plastic fabrication in acrylic, polycarbonate and other specialized materials in volumes from very small to large volumes is now available in their South Baltimore facility.
Maryland Thermoform is best known for its vertically integrated thermoform capabilities in light and heavy gauge thermoform processing.
VP of Operations Carl Livesay said, “we are pleased by the addition of the Fabrication Division made possible by the increased operational efficiency across the enterprise. We are excited by the additional capabilities this business unit and the skillset this brings to the existing Maryland Thermoform team. We look forward to adding several new members to our team.”
President Jim Hall said, “plastic fabrication fits nicely into our core skill sets as many skills in CAD and tool construction are already capabilities on site. The addition of the Fabrication Division complements our existing business while adding depth to our offerings.”
CEO Scott Macdonald was also quoted as saying “fortunately this is not a start-up division. We are adding an existing group of people who have worked together for decades to our team. Key to our good fortune is the addition of Scottie Kneebone formerly of Capital Plastics in Beltsville, Maryland”. Macdonald also said “ the prototyping and product development expertise the Fabrication Division brings with them greatly enhances our existing capabilities. This completes our design and manufacturing team. We have the ability to locally create products from 3D printing, small- and large-scale thermoforming or injection molding. We are now a full function product development house.”
