Carl Livesay is the Manufacturing Director for the State of Maryland where he works to help manufacturers create jobs, improve prosperity and overcome the barriers to success. Specific emphasis is placed on manufacturers in the high technology and advanced manufacturing sectors leveraging Maryland core strengths in STEM (Science Technology Education and Math)
He is the Chairman of the SMART States Caucus, Manufacturing Technology Committee, the Chairman Emeritus of the Maryland/DC District Export Council, and an Advisory Board Member for the Carver School, and the Magna Center both in Baltimore City.
Carl works closely with Maryland manufacturers, industry trade associations, schools, country and municipal economic development teams and several sister Maryland agencies including but not limited to the Maryland Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) and the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA).
