Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake visits Maryland Thermoform Corporation
Baltimore Mayor visits local Manufacturing Corporation to discuss employment efforts.
On Monday, March 21, 2016, Maryland Thermoform Corporation in Baltimore City was please to host Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for an informal meeting to discuss the economic impact that Maryland Thermoform has in the city and hurdles facing them in finding qualified candidates within the local community.
Maryland Thermoform’s owners, James Hall and Scott Macdonald, highlighted key efforts and collaborations with, and in support of, Carver Vocational-Technical High School in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of Baltimore City, and the Jane Addams Resource Corporation in Park Heights.
The Mayor first met with management and a small subset of Maryland Thermoform’s skilled and semi-skilled laborers to discuss the training programs and the difficulties that they are facing in finding the qualified candidates that are required to start these programs. The Mayor also toured the facility to recognize Maryland Thermoform’s capabilities and to reach out personally to Maryland Thermoform’s employee base.
